AGE 5, Lymphoma

In March of 2015, at the age of 11, Haylee was diagnosed with T-Cell, Non-Hodgkin’s, Lymphoma. Being a military family, Haylee and her family were stationed in Yuma, AZ where her treatment began. The initial diagnosis came with complications and landed her in the ICU, under a controlled sedation, for 11 days. Once the doctors were certain about Haylee’s condition, she began rapid chemotherapy treatments that would turn into a year of triumph amidst discomfort. In the summer of 2015, Haylee and her family were relocated to a more convenient duty station, right here in San Diego, where Haylee continues to receive care at Rady Children’s Hospital. At the age of 12, she has recently began the maintenance phase which involves monthly treatment in clinic, as well as a daily chemo pill to be taken over the course of a year. Haylee is very passionate about making crafts and enjoys playing the vast collection of board games her family has acquired.
Team NuVasive is riding in honor of Haylee.
