LtCol Christopher Blalock

I am a 43-year-old Lieutenant Colonel in the Marine Corps with 19 years of service. I currently serve as the Executive Officer for the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit out of Camp Pendleton, Ca.

February of 2016 consisted of more scans and a biopsy. In the end, I was diagnosed with Stage 2A Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

I never once believed that I could not beat the cancer.

Had it not been for the diagnosis, I would not be where I am today in my career and I would not have had the amazing experiences with my family that I was able to enjoy in a very difficult time.
